America is Amazing Mix 

I made this mix for a Ron and Charlie BBQ (RIP) during my first summer in L.A. It was this day that I became good friends with Nathan Smith and Sean Cook. It has a special place in my heart.

After burning a British Flag in Ron’s backyard, he came up to me and said, “Two things: one, I need to know if you are going to douse something in lighter fluid and burn it in my backyard. Two, I’m British.” Ronny’s my favorite.

And when I say mix, I mean I mixed it. Has some sweet JFK and MLK quotables in it. The shit’s a 15 minute ride through freedom. My favorite part of the mix is when it mixes from James Brown to Team America. “Living in America FUCK YEAH!!!”

I’m getting really hyped for this new Eminem album. Ever since his verse on Drake’s Forever, Em has been back and killing it. Always a huge fan of artist that realize their last album was ehhh, apologize, and move forward with better stuff. Recovery dropped this month. I’m going to buy it.

G.R.I.N.D. - Asher Roth

This song has been my anthem for the last week or so. I only had the radio rip for awhile, but I didn’t care. It was on repeat with the DJ drops and all.

With his latest mixtape, Seared Foie Gras with Quince & Cranberry, being pretty killer, I’m looking forward to his next album. I bumped his debut album pretty hard last summer. It was something different to listen to while I flipping my house. 

The Roots - Dear God   (Off their new album How I Got Over) 

The Roots are, hands done, one of our generations best bands. And I mean band, not hip hop group. They are about to release their ninth album in June. None of them are wack. You can’t say that about Weezer. Yeah I said it.

SIDEBAR: One of my career goals is to be interviewed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and have The Roots play me on stage. I will then bow to their greatness and tell Weezer that they are less than The Roots.
